Funded Places

Our fees for pre-school are £6.50 an hour but children can be entitled to Early Years funded places which offer free childcare to parents. This funding can be used at Kaleidoscope Childcare during the pre-school hours of 8am to 5.20pm, provided that there are sessions available. Unfortunately, due to the increases in costs we are asking for a voluntary 50p a day consumable charge.

Free for 2:

2 year old children may be able to take up to 15 hours of free childcare providing families meet the eligibility criteria.

15 hours free childcare:

Some 2 year old children may also be eligible for up to 30 hours of free childcare for 38 weeks of the year if working parents meet the eligibility criteria. All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks of the year (term times).

30 hours free childcare:

3 and 4 year old children of working parents who meet the eligibility criteria may take up to 30 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks of the year. This funding may be used for both Pre-school as well as towards breakfast and afterschool club hours.

Funding for all of the above can only be claimed at set times which are from 1st September, 1st January and 1st April. Parents can only begin to claim on the nearest of these dates after their child meets the required age. Please see the Best Start in Life website https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/ to check your child is eligible.

Entitlement to a Free Early Education place does not offer a guarantee of a place at any one provider or a particular pattern of delivery.

We also accept Tax Free Childcare and workplace childcare vouchers. Further information about Tax Free Childcare is available on the Childcare Choices website.
