Ladybird Room

The Ladybird Room – A Special Space for Our Two-Year-Olds
The Ladybird Room is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of our youngest children, providing a calm, nurturing, and secure environment where they can safely explore and grow. With their own dedicated entrance, children enjoy a quieter, more relaxed start to their session and are warmly welcomed by familiar staff. The space is fully self-contained, including age-appropriate toilets and a private outdoor play area, allowing children to build confidence and independence in a setting just right for them.
We provide plenty of opportunities for play and exploration, including sensory and messy play experiences that support early development and encourage curiosity.

Independence is also encouraged at snack times, where children are supported to make choices, pour drinks, and make their own snacks.

We also recognise the value of mixed-age learning and understand that younger children can benefit greatly from spending time with older peers. For this reason, the Ladybird and Butterfly Room children will sometimes come together for shared play experiences. This may include visits to the Butterfly Room’s play area and garden, where the children can explore, interact, and learn alongside one another in a supportive environment.

The Ladybird Room is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm.  We offer flexible session and children can attend for morning, afternoon or full day session. Our fees are £6.50 per hour. In addition to this, Ladybird Room children also attend our Breakfast and afterschool club.
